Vietnam trade authority accepts AD petition on imported cold-rolled stainless steel

Vietnam’s Trade Remedies Authority formally accepted a complete anti-dumping (AD) petition from domestic manufacturers targeting cold-rolled stainless steel products originating in China, Indonesia, and Taiwan.

Following initial submissions in August 2026 and subsequent documentation updates in September, authorities confirmed the application meets legal standards under trade defense laws.

Under foreign trade management regulations, the department maintains a 45-day window from September 29, 2026, to review evidence regarding dumping practices and industry injury before recommending an official investigation to the Minister of Industry and Trade.

Local producers must submit capacity data and official stances on the case by October 12, 2026.
