Specific types of hot-rolled bar originating from China are now the subject of an anti-dumping (AD) probe in Ukraine. Initiated at the request of domestic manufacturers, the legal proceeding took effect on May 26, 2026, following the Ministry of Economy’s publication of Resolution No. AD-602/2026/441-01. The authority set the official investigation window to evaluate data from 2022 to October 2025.
The scrutiny applies to non-alloy carbon steel bars measuring 5 mm to 14 mm in diameter, as well as other alloy steel bars between 5 mm and 32 mm, though welding wire rods and high-speed steel bars are exempt.
Under the Ukrainian customs tariff system, the affected items are registered under codes 7213 91 10 00, 7213 91 41 00, 7213 91 49 00, 7213 91 70 00, 7213 91 90 00, 7227 20 00 00, 7227 90 10 00, 7227 90 50 00, and 7227 90 95 00.
