According to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), Mexico produced around 528,000 tons of iron ore in March, up by 4.9% compared to the previous month and by 2.2% year on year.
The country’s total iron ore output reached nearly 1.52 million tons for the first three months of the year, rising by 8,200 tons compared to the same period in 2025.
Meanwhile, March iron ore pellet production reached roughly 384,000 tons, dropping by 2% from February but rising by 9.3% compared to March 2025. Cumulative iron ore pellet volume totaled roughly 1.16 million tons, reflecting an annual growth of about 9,500 tons.
