Taiwan’s anti-dumping (AD) investigation into Vietnamese cold-rolled stainless steel is constricting supplies for specific dimensions such as 3-foot and 5-foot materials, prompting processors to face order suspensions from steel mills.
With Vietnamese imports representing nearly 70% of total inbound volumes exceeding 34,000 tons through July, local producers Yieh United Steel Corporation (Yusco) and Tang Eng Iron Works triggered proceedings scheduled for a public hearing on September 14.
The resulting import caution may eliminate cheap alternatives, potentially reshaping market dynamics and lifting inverted painted stainless steel pricing trends.
