NALCO submits FY2025-26 sustainability report covering mines, refinery and smelter

National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) has submitted its Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR) for FY2025-26 to the stock exchanges. The document forms part of the company’s Annual Report for the financial year.

The filing was made in accordance with the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

TÜV SÜD South Asia Pvt. Ltd. independently verified NALCO’s sustainability disclosures. This was carried out between June 30 and July 20, 2026.

Based on the assessment and evidence collected, TÜV SÜD concluded a reasonable level of assurance on the nine core BRSR attributes for FY2025-26. These include greenhouse gas emissions, water and energy use, waste management, employee wellbeing and safety, gender diversity, inclusive development, customer and supplier practices, and business openness.

Under these, key parameters are total Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions and emission intensity, total water consumption, water consumption intensity and water discharge, total energy consumed, the share of renewable energy and energy intensity, waste generation, recovery and disposal, employee wellbeing spending, workplace safety incidents, gross wages paid to women, sourcing from MSMEs and within India, wages paid in smaller towns, customer data breaches, accounts payable, and transactions with related parties.
