The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) has initiated an expiry review of the existing anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duties (CVD) on certain carbon and alloy steel line pipes imported from China. The review will examine whether removing the measures could lead to the continuation or recurrence of dumping and subsidization, potentially causing injury to Canadian producers.
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is scheduled to determine by April 1, 2027, whether dumping or subsidization is likely to continue or resume, with its statement of reasons expected by April 16, 2027. If the agency reaches an affirmative determination, the CITT will assess the potential injury to the domestic industry by September 8, 2027.
