Aperam, a stainless steel manufacturer based in Luxembourg, decreased the alloy surcharge for its European austenitic stainless steel flat products for August.
The surcharge for 304 (1.4301) was decreased to EUR 2,216/ton from July’s EUR 2,339/ton; that for 316L (1.4404) was dropped to EUR 3,980/ton from EUR 4,089/ton in the previous month; that of 309S (1.4833), used in high-temperature corrosion resistance applications, was EUR 2,973/ton, compared to EUR 3,151/ton in July; that of ferritic stainless steel 409 (1.4512) was decreased to EUR 910/ton from the previous month’s EUR 919/ton.
The new surcharge will be applicable on August 1, 2026.
