WBMS reports global primary aluminum surplus in June

The World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS) released its latest report, indicating that global primary aluminum production reached 6.0924 million tons in June, while consumption was 6.0602 million tons, resulting in a monthly surplus of 32,200 tons.

During the January to June period of 2026, cumulative primary aluminum production totaled 36.0204 million tons against a consumption of 36.5055 million tons, creating a total deficit of 485,100 tons.
