Vallourec, a global leader in premium seamless tubular solutions in France, secured a significant contract from Subsea7 to deliver carbon steel seamless line pipes and thermal insulation coatings for Petrobras and partners developing the Sepia 2 project within the pre-salt Santos Basin, offshore Brazil.
Production involves supplying approximately 130 kilometers of rigid risers and flowlines, exceeding 15,000 metric tons of sour service pipes manufactured at the Jeceaba mill, with insulation applied at the Serra facility.
The deepwater venture entails fifteen wells and an export pipeline linking to a new floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel positioned at a depth of 2,170 meters.
CEO Philippe Guillemot said that the integrated award demonstrates the company’s advanced capabilities in handling rigorous pre-salt operating requirements.
