A A AThe Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade of Ukraine (ICIT) officially launched an anti-dumping (AD) investigation into imports of coated carbon steel flat products from Turkey, Vietnam, South Korea, and India.
The investigation revealed a significant increase in imports of these products from these four countries between 2022 and 2024. Total imports increased approximately 4.5 times; relative to Ukrainian domestic production, they increased approximately 2 times; and relative to domestic consumption, they increased approximately 2.5 times.
Meanwhile, the weighted average price of these imported products has been declining continuously. Since 2023, prices have been significantly lower than the average price of similar products in Ukraine, putting pressure on Ukrainian steel companies.
This investigation covers carbon steel flat-rolled products under Ukrainian customs codes 7210 70, 7210 90, and 7212 40, but excludes tin-plated carbon steel products under code 7210 70 10 00.
