Yieh United Steel Corporation (Yusco), a leading stainless steel producer in Taiwan, announced its November domestic stainless steel pricing today (October 29). The steelmaker raised 304 series hot-rolled and cold-rolled coil prices by NT$1,000 per ton, whereas prices for 316L surcharges and 430 series products remain flat.
This decision represents the fourth consecutive monthly increase for 304 series products, after upward adjustments of NT$1,500 per ton in August and September and NT$1,000 per ton in October.
Demand support comes from semiconductor capital expenditure expansion and inventory replenishment across traditional manufacturing sectors. In addition, higher transport expenses from rising oil prices and increased raw material import costs due to New Taiwan dollar depreciation raised production expenditures, driving the stainless steel price revision.
