Taiwan’s stainless steel wire rod trade experienced a strong recovery in March. Import volumes reached 1,214 tons, a 38.6% increase from February, representing the largest quantity since December of the year before last.
Meanwhile, export volumes surged to 10,233 tons, a 66.2% jump from February. This performance returned the sector to the 10,000-ton threshold for the first time since September of last year.
This volume expansion across trade channels coincided with a rise in values. Both import and export prices trended upward during the month. Among them, export values attained a 10-month high, reflecting improved business conditions. This period of synchronized growth provides a clear contrast to the volatility experienced in previous months.
