Taiwan’s China Steel Corporation (CSC) announced its July domestic pricing for AP plates and SN490B steel plates today (May 29), introducing another four-digit monthly increase. Both products rose by NT$1,000 per ton, bringing the new base prices to NT$26,900 for AP plates and NT$28,000 for SN490B steel plates.
This decision continues an upward trend in 2026 pricing. The company began the year by pausing allocations and holding January prices flat before cutting them by NT$500 in February. However, prices rose by NT$800 in both March and April, accelerated with NT$1,500 hikes in May and June, and added an additional NT$1,000 with this latest July increase.
