Taiwan’s Ministry of Finance formally launched an anti-dumping (AD) investigation targeting cold-rolled, flat-rolled stainless steel products from Vietnam, driven by petitions from Yieh United Steel Corporation (Yusco) and Tang Eng Iron Works.
The proceeding covers stainless steel flat-rolled products with thicknesses between 0.05 mm and 6.10 mm. Applicants requested retroactive duties applicable up to 90 days before provisional measures, designed to prevent importers from stockpiling during the investigative window.
The Ministry of Economic Affairs will deliver a preliminary industrial damage assessment within 40 days, with final determinations expected by year-end.
The investigation targets 20 Vietnamese manufacturers and 15 local importers. Customs authorities advised exporters and importers to participate actively within 20 days to secure individual dumping margins rather than higher default rates.
