NALCO reports Q2 FY27 net sales of INR 53.8b, up 26.2% year-on-year

Net sales of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) rose 26.2 per cent year-on-year to INR 53.80 billion (USD 567 million) in Q2 FY2026-27, compared with INR 42.6 billion (USD 449 million) in the same quarter last year. The company is set to discuss its unaudited results for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2026, during an earnings call scheduled for November 3.

NALCO’s total income reached INR 56.7 billion (USD 598 million) in Q2 FY27, an increase of 27.5 per cent year on year. Operating expenses stood at INR 30.1 billion (USD 37 million), while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) amounted to INR 26.6 billion (USD 280 million). Net sales in the preceding quarter, Q1 FY27, were INR 52.7 billion (USD 556 million).

The Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise operates an integrated bauxite-alumina-aluminium-power-coal complex, with the Government of India holding a 51.28 per cent stake. NALCO said it is pursuing measures to strengthen its competitiveness amid fluctuations in London Metal Exchange (LME) aluminium prices. These include optimising installed capacity, reducing specific consumption costs and expanding refinery capacity.

Its ongoing development programme includes the Pottangi Bauxite Mines project, with a planned capacity of 3.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA), brownfield aluminium smelter expansion and new captive power plant projects.
