LME aluminium prices moved lower across cash, three-month and forward contracts on July 10, with the three-month segment recording the sharpest decline of up to 0.50 per cent.
The LME aluminium cash bid price stood at USD 3,155.5 per tonne on July 10, down USD 7.5 per tonne or 0.24 per cent from USD 3,163 per tonne on July 9. The cash offer price fell USD 8 per tonne or 0.25 per cent to USD 3,156 per tonne from USD 3,164 per tonne a day earlier.
In the three-month segment, the bid price declined USD 16 per tonne or 0.50 per cent to USD 3,152.5 per tonne on July 10 from USD 3,168.5 per tonne on July 9. The three-month offer price also dropped USD 16 per tonne or 0.50 per cent, reaching USD 3,153 per tonne compared with USD 3,169 per tonne in the previous session.
December 2027 contracts followed the broader downward trend. The bid price decreased USD 10 per tonne or 0.32 per cent to USD 3,075 per tonne on July 10 from USD 3,085 per tonne, while the offer price fell by the same amount and percentage to USD 3,080 per tonne from USD 3,090 per tonne.
The LME aluminium three-month Asian Reference Price stood at USD 3,139.5 per tonne on July 10. Meanwhile, the LME alumina Platts price was assessed at USD 330.2 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stocks declined by 1,600 tonnes or 0.55 per cent to 289,225 tonnes on July 10 from 290,825 tonnes on July 9.
Live warrants remained unchanged at 246,400 tonnes, while cancelled warrants dropped by 1,500 tonnes or 3.50 per cent to 41,325 tonnes from 42,825 tonnes.
