According to the latest statistics, China’s aluminum exports reached 710,000 tons in June, marking a 13% increase from May and a 45% rise year-on-year, and setting a new record for a single month.
China is the world’s largest aluminum producer as well as a major consumer market. The Middle East originally accounted for about 9% of global primary aluminum production.
However, due to tense conflicts, many smelters and traders rushed to seize overseas demand. Amid weak domestic demand in China, aluminum suppliers are showing an increased willingness to export.
