Baker Hughes: US rig counts slide, Canada’s rise for week ending June 12

According to the report from Baker Hughes, in the week ending on June 12, 2026, the US rig count was down by one to 562 units compared to the previous week.

Among them, the number of drilling rigs for natural gas dropped by three to 121 units, that for oil hiked by two to 433 units, and miscellaneous rigs were unchanged at eight. The total number had a year-on-year rise of seven units.

During the same period, Canada’s rig count rose by eleven to 180 units from the previous week. Canada’s rig number went up by 42 units compared to the same period a year ago.
