Australia launches AD investigation on Taiwan’s steel flat bars

The Anti-Dumping Commission of Australia initiated an anti-dumping (AD) investigation into steel flat bar imports from Taiwan on July 20, 2026. Domestic producer Infrabuild NSW Pty Ltd submitted the application triggering the review under Notice No. 2026/096.

The products involved are steel flat bars with widths greater than 17 mm and up to and including 150 mm and thicknesses of 4.75 mm or greater, whether or not containing alloys. These goods are under HS codes 7214.91.00.49, 7215.50.10.53, 7215.50.90.54, and 7228.30.90.41. The dumping investigation period runs from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, with the injury assessment period starting April 1, 2022.

A Statement of Essential Facts (SEF) is expected by November 9, 2026. The commission will submit its final report to the Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science by December 22, 2026.
