Walsin Lihwa enters AI supply chain via stainless steel demand

Taiwan’s Walsin Lihwa’s stainless steel business is surging as it integrates into the booming AI server sector. Vice Chairman Shyi-Chin Wang said that the company’s cold-finished bars now supply China’s AI server supply chain, capturing a remarkable market share of 50%.

The automotive industry remains a primary consumer, but the rapid adoption of liquid cooling systems drives new growth. These stainless steel bars are essential for quick-disconnect couplings in server cooling units. For instance, a GB300 cabinet requires 276 such couplings.

As high-power chips require advanced thermal solutions, Walsin Lihwa expects its production to grow rapidly, enabling its supply chain partners to achieve success together in the AI era.
