US’ steel coil exports go up in Mar

According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 26,400 tons of steel coils in March, increasing by 7.6% compared to the previous month but falling by 36% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 18,000 tons, a month-on-month increase of 16% and a year-on-year fall of 40%. Canada ranked second with around 8,800 tons, and the exports to other countries were relatively low in the given month.

The export value was approximately US$29 million during the period, up by 14% month on month and sliding by 33% year on year.
