In February, Taiwan’s stainless steel wire rod imports rose to 818 tons, the high-est monthly volume in over a year and a 9% increase compared to the previous month. This rebound contrasted with a decline in exports, which fell to 1,309 tons, down 22.7% month on month.
Import prices also reversed course, jumping by NT$10,702 from January, ending a two-month slump and returning above the NT$160,000 mark. Export prices also rose by NT$7,756 month on month to nearly the NT$150,000/ton level.
