Global primary aluminum production totaled 6.045 million tons in June, a decrease from 6.251 million tons in the previous month and an increase from 5.989 million tons in the same month last year, according to the International Aluminium Institute (IAI) data.
In the month, the global daily average output of primary aluminum was 201,500 tons, rising from 201,600 tons in the previous month.
In China, the estimated primary aluminum production in June was 3.625 million tons, down from the 3.746 million tons in May. Production in other regions of Asia was 398,000 tons, falling from 411,000 tons in the previous month.
