According to the latest report from the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS), the global primary aluminum market experienced a supply surplus in April.
In April alone, worldwide primary aluminum production reached 6.0912 million tons, while consumption was 5.8649 million tons, resulting in a surplus of 226,300 tons.
In the first four months of this year, the trend continued, with global production totaling 24.2523 million tons against a consumption of 23.2412 million tons, showing a cumulative supply surplus of 1.0111 million tons for the January-April period.
