According to the statistics from Vietnamese Ministry of Finance, Vietnam imported around 480,000 tons of scrap in July, rising by 44.4% from the same month a year ago, also up by 24.6% compared to the previous month, which hit a 6-month high.
In the first half this year, the imports of Vietnamese scrap totaled around 2.96 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 23.2%, with an average monthly imports of 423,000 tons and an expected annual imports of 5.1 million tons roughly.
