US implements sanctions against Russian banks
Since Russia had relationship with the Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA, Petroleum of Venezuela), Russian bank Evrofinance Mosnarbank was included in the sanctions list by the US.
On January 28th, the US imposed sanctions on PDVSA, and US citizens and businesses were prohibited from trading with them.
As long as foreign financial institutions assisted the Venezuelan President Maduro in illegal trade, they will be sanctioned by the US. The assets will be frozen, and the legal persons and individuals in the US will not be able to trade with the institution.
