US' hot-rolled steel bar imports decline in Jun
According to statistics, the US imported around 59,200 tons of hot-rolled steel bars in June 2019, which dropped by 26.2% from the previous month and 23.4% from the same month a year ago. Moreover, the total import value in June was about US$54 million, compared to US$80.6 million in May and US$73.8 million in June last year.
Among them, Canada was the main supplier country of US' hot-rolled bars with around 22,300 tons, compared to around 24,100 tons in May and approximately 28,900 tons in June 2018. The other major supplied countries included Japan (about 16,000 tons), China (about 5,700 tons), Germany (about 4,300 tons), and Mexico (about 3,600 tons).
