According to the preliminary Census Bureau data from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the imports of US’ hot-dip galvanized sheet and strip totaled around 222,000 tons this September, down by 0.7% compared to the previous month, also dropping by 9.4% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, the imports from Canada were around 71,000 tons, falling from last month’s 73,000 tons, but rising from 61,000 tons in the same month a year earlier; those from Vietnam were around 35,000 tons; those from Taiwan were around 16,000 tons; those from Mexico were around 11,300 tons; those from South Korea were around 10,300 tons; those from Germany were around 10,000 tons.
