According to the statistics, as of the week ended October 27th, the production of US’ crude steel totaled around 1.9 million short tons, up by 11.3% from 1.7 million short tons in the same period a year ago, also rising by 1.2% compared to 1.88 million short tons in the previous week. The capacity utilization rate was 81%, rising from 73.2% year on year and 80% week on week.
After the adjustment, as of the week ended October 27th, the production of US’ crude steel amounted to around 78 million short tons in 2018, a year-on-year increase of 5%. The capacity utilization rate was 77.7%, a year-on-year hike of 3.4%.
