Ukraine's ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih schedules to launch second blast furnace in Apr
ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine's largest integrated steel company, planned to enhance its production capabilities to 50% with the launch of a second blast furnace in April.
The company's current production capabilities are 25%. The reason for the increased production was the opening of marine logistics; the company's products, including iron ore concentrate, pig iron, and finished products, can start to enter other European countries through Black Sea ports despite high freight rates.
In January, the company's production of steel, rolled steel, pig iron, iron ore concentrate, and coke grew greatly, which showed that it was still resilient under tough situations.
