Turkish steel exports up 27% in Jan-Jul
Reportedly, in the first seven months this year, Turkish steel exports had climbed to US$8.4 billion, increasing by 26.7% year on year, and its exports to the European Union increased to US$3.6 billion, up by 62.9% year on year.

After the 232 measure posted by the United States, steel exports to the US fell by 44.6%, and the exporters in Turkey turned their concentration to Southeast Asia, West Africa and the Central and South America regions.

Meanwhile, some countries’ steel exports also decreased significantly as Singapore was down by around US$104 million, Turkmenistan was down by around US$90 million and Iraq was down by around US$65 million.
