Turkish finished steel products output rises while consumption decreases in Jan-Sep
According to the statistics from Turkish Iron and Steel Producers' Association (TCUD), the output of Turkish finished steel products totaled around 30 million tons from January to September, up by 3.1% compared to the same period a year ago.
Among them, the output of long product was around 18 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 6%; that of plate product was around 11.5 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 21.6%.
In the same period, the consumption of Turkish finished steel products was around 25 million tons, falling by 4.6% compared to the same period a year earlier.
Among them, the consumption of long product was around 12 million tons, a year-on-year drop of 13.8%; that of plate product was around 14 million tons, a year-on-year hike of 5%.
