Turkish crude steel production drops in Jan-Feb
According to the data from Turkish Iron and Steel Producers' Association (TCUD), Turkish crude steel production totaled around 2.6 million tons in February this year, which dropped by 2.6% month on month and was also down by 12.5% year on year.
Among them, the production by electric arc furnace decreased by 17.3% compared with the same month of last year, and that from all steel mills declined by 1.5% from the same period a year ago.
In the first 2 months this year, Turkey produced a total of around 5.2 million tons of crude steel, a year-on-year reduction of 16.1%.
