Trudeau: US tariffs on Canadian aluminum to be harmful to both economies
According to a report, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said yesterday (June 29) that the US had possibilities to re-impose tariffs on Canadian aluminum, which will be bad for both economies; however, the validity hasn't been confirmed.

Trudeau said that any “punitive actions” by the US will not only end up hurting Canadians but also on Americans.

The US needs Canadian aluminum as the US doesn’t have enough aluminum for its domestic manufacturing needs. The tariffs on Canadian aluminum will increase the costs of inputs, which was harmful to the US economy.
