Taiwan’s Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Co. holds furnace ignition ceremony
It is reported that Taiwan’s Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation held the furnace ignition ceremony on May 29. Based on the advantage of duty-free, Vietnam steel will become the first furnace mill in Southeast Asia and improved Taiwan steel industry competitiveness in the future.
Some experts said that Taiwan's steel industry faced the global high tariffs, such as anti-dumping and other trade barriers. Taiwanese enterprise expected to break the terms of trade through supply steel products from Vietnam.
Under the premise of duty-free, the steel products need the account for 40％ from Association of Southeast Asian Nations manufacturing, which will become an important milestone of the New Southern Policy in Taiwan steel industry.
