China Steel Corporation (CSC), the largest carbon steelmaker in Taiwan, planned to announce monthly prices in the first quarter of 2020, and the firm will start the trial of its new policy for export price from the fourth quarter of 2019. 
CSC considered announcing price monthly mainly due to consideration of the competitiveness of the downstream. Some customers said that the quarter price reacted too slow to the market which was unfavorable for export orders. They can't reflect the cost price in time. Therefore, they can't get order smoothly. 
Besides, the international politic and economic change too fast. However, the neighbor steel mills, including Baoteel, WISCO, Ansteel and Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation, all announce prices monthly and so does Taiwan's domestic private steel mills. The main purpose was to help customers quickly grasp the material cost and get the order. 
In the discussion stage, CSC has decided to start the new policy from the fourth quarter to announce the price monthly and adjust if there was anything needed to be amended.
