Taiwanese CHS implements new strategy for API pipe to US in Q4
Taiwanese API pipe orders increased a lot due to recent trade war triggered by the US, the price hiked to the top but seemed like turning down this week. Chung Hung Steel Corporation (CHS), one of the steel manufacturers in Taiwan, said that the US API pipe price was too high to be accepted by downstream buyer. Partial buyers tried to negotiate for lower quotation.

CHS expressed the current market might change in sudden. The raw material output from upstream supplier China Steel Corporation (CSC) was still insufficient, so CHS decided to keep the quotation stable and thought the prices were based on volume for the fourth quarter.
