According to the statistics from the Korea Iron & Steel Association (KOSA), South Korean special steel bar exports totaled around 515,000 tons as of September this year, soaring by 50.2% compared to the same period a year ago.
Among them, Taiwan ranked first with the largest proportion of South Korean special steel bar exports, totaling around 79,000 tons, significantly rising by 140.5% from the same period last year.
In addition to the decrease in exports to the US and Japan, the exports to other Asian countries increased remarkably. It was supposed that South Korea expand its export market due to sluggish domestic market.
