It is reported that South Korean heavy plate imports fell sharply, because the main industry demand continued downturn trend. South Korean producers also expand domestic market competition, which direct impacted the domestic steel industry.
The biggest reason for South Korean steel imports fell, because South Korean manufacturers are expanding their product policies for non-shipbuilding market. In the meantime, Posco and Hyundai Steel have recently expanded the non-shipbuilding of heavy steel plate market.
