Outokumpu’s stainless steel exports grow in Jan-Sep
Outokumpu, the largest stainless steel manufacturer in Europe, reported its stainless steel exports totaling around 1.9 million tons from January to September, increasing by 0.4% compared to the same period last year. During the same period, the output of ferrochrome came to 360,000 tons roughly, a sharp increase of 22.8% year on year.

Due to the impact by the weakening demand in Europe, Outokumpu estimated that its production and sales volume will keep flat in October to December, and the exports to the US will decline in this period.
