Outokumpu officially launches investment in China
Outokumpu, the largest stainless steel manufacturer in Europe, announced to officially launch its processing and distribution center in Kunshan, Jiangsu, which was Outokumpu’s first stainless steel entity in China, with an investment of 20 million euros.
The demand for stainless steel in China was expected to go up by 15% roughly. Therefore, Outokumpu chose to set up its factory in China.
The investment of the processing and distribution center in Kunshan was not only to meet customers’ requirement directly in China but also to satisfy some demands in products transportation and specifications.
