Outokumpu lowers stainless steel surcharges for Nov
Outokumpu, the largest stainless steel manufacturer in Europe, announced to lower its stainless steel surcharges for November, which have been cut for 4 consecutive months due to weak prices of raw materials.
After the adjustment, the surcharge in November for type 304 was EUR1,411/ton, down by EUR32/ton month on month; that for type 316 was EUR2,140/ton, falling by EUR40/ton from the previous month; that for type 430 was also lowered to EUR685/ton, dropping by EUR19/ton compared to last month.
The surcharges from Outokumpu were predicted to decrease further due to the impact of weak nickel and molybdenum prices recently.
