According to the report, Outokumpu aimed to develop high-end stainless steel applications in India after viewing the growing high-end sector in India.
The company would mainly focus on the applications, including renewable, fossil and nuclear energy, railways, chemical processing sector, oil & gas, desalination plants, and infrastructures.
The company said the domestic demand for corrosion-free metal was continuously growing in the above-mentioned industries and viewed the optimistic prospected for the high-end steel sector.
Except for the high-end steel sector, the company would also keep on supplying products with competitive cost advantages to other industries, such as food processing, capital goods, architecture, construction, railways, and pulp & paper industry.
