Nucor Steel Gallatin produces first coil from its pickling & galvanizing line in Sep
In September, Nucor Steel had produced its first coil from its new pickling and galvanizing line at Nucor Steel Gallatin in Ghent, Kentucky.
SMS group was responsible for the engineering and technologies of pickling, galvanizing, process and furnace. The new line was expected to have an annual capacity of 500,000 tons of galvanized hot strip which can be widely used in the automotive, transportation and construction industry.
Notably, the galvanized hot strip was anticipated to replace the galvanized cold strip.
