North America’s crude steel output slides in Nov
According to statistics from World Steel Association (worldsteel), North America’s crude steel output totaled around 8.5 million tons in November, sliding by 10.8% compared to the same month a year ago, of which only Mexican had a year-on-year increase during the period.
By country, the output in Cuba was 15,000 in November, a year-on-year decrease of 35%; that in the US was 6.12 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 13.7%; that in Canada was 885,000 tons, a year-on-year decline of 7.2%; that in Mexico rose by 1.7% year on year.
In the first 11 months of this year, North America’s crude steel output amounted to approximately 91.6 million, which slid by 16.7% compared to the same period a year earlier.
