NLMK Belgian steel mill upgrades hot rolling production line
NLMK LaLouviere is a flat steel producer owned by Russian NLMK Group, located in Belgium. Its customers are mainly from automobile manufacturing and construction industries.
The company recently has started to upgrade its hot-rolling production line and has already acquired the first major equipment. The production line upgrade project will enable it to provide EU customers with higher quality products and improve production efficiency.
This upgrade includes the installation of the most advanced automation system, such as the introduction of three new mill stands, the upgrade of three existing mills, and the construction of other supporting facilities.
The modernization of the LaLouviere steel plant is part of the NLMK Group ’s strategy before 2022, which aims to increase its market share in hot-rolled sales.
