Nickel prices rise by 18.5% in 2020, rising for 2 consecutive years
Under the interference of the COVID-19 epidemic, international nickel prices have generally risen. LME futures prices rose by 18.45% throughout last year.
When the epidemic broke out in March last year, LME prices reached the lowest point in the whole year. However, with the economic recovery in China, prices reached the highest point in December.
Since Indonesia announced a ban on nickel ore exports in January last year and reflected the rising market in advance, nickel prices have been rising for two consecutive years.
Judging from this year, Indonesia's ferronickel production will increase, and the Philippines' nickel ore supply will also grow, but the US dollar was expected to remain weak, and nickel prices should stabilize first and then move firmly.
