Latin American finished steel imports from China rise for Jan-May
According to the Latin American Iron and Steel Association (Alacero) statistics showed, China's steel exports totaled 33.1 million tons this January-May, down by 27% compared with the same period of last year, the Latin America accounted for 300,000 tons, up by 19% compared with the same period of last year.
In January-May, Latin American finished steel imports from China rose from 6% to 9.9%. In May, Latin American finished steel from China rose by 3%, up to 679,000 tons compared with previous month, increased by 41% compared with the same period of last year.
