Japan's steel exports fall in May
According to Japan Iron and Steel Federation issued Japan’s steel imports and exports statistics in May. It is understood that Japan’s steel exports in May were 319,600 tons, down by 12.5% compared with the same period of last year, and continued to rise for four consecutive months.
Among them, Japan’s ordinary steel exports totaled 2.058 million tons, declined by 16.6% compared with the same period of last year, for nine consecutive months down; that of hot-rolled coil exports totaled 946,000 tons, declined by 24.7% compared with the same period of last year, for three consecutive months decline; the steel plate exports totaled 165,000 tons, declined by 34.5% compared with the same period of last year, for nine consecutive months decline, respectively.
