Japan’s stainless steel imports increase for May
According to Japan's Ministry of Finance statistics showed that Japan’s stainless steel imports totaled 27,789 tons in May this year, up by 53.3% from 18,129 tons compared with previous month.
Among them, Japan’s stainless steel imports from South Korea totaled 21,423 tons, rose by 73% compared with previous month; followed by Taiwan was 3,479 tons, the rose by 1.9% compared with previous month; China was 1151 tons, increased by 29.5% compared with previous month. Imports from China and Taiwan have increased, especially in South Korea rose significantly.
